hello, loves and welcome to another episode of our musings. in today's musing, we share our must-haves and essentials for a healthy, productive and fulfilling morning routine.




we can not over-emphasize the importance of a healthy morning ritual. it gets our bodies moving, mind awakening and spirit lifted and ready for whatever life throws our way.


here we share some important things to ensure that our mornings are wonderful and we're going to divide them in 3 parts: mind, body and soul.


BODY:


 

your body is a temple and must be treated with the respect and cleanliness it deserves. because of this, we have curated some skincare products, (some made in Africa, some in the diaspora) that will make your outside be as beautiful as your inside.

these words hold so much depth and truth and we have compiled a list of things to do and podcasts to listen to awaken your mind and broaden your horizons.


read your bible: there is nothing more fulfilling than reading the word of God and soaking in the promises that He has for you. Bible verses like Philippians 4:13 remind us that we can do anything we set our mind to, and Proverbs 31 reminds us of the strength and inner beauty of a woman.


journal: the power of journaling is one that can not be over-emphasized. journaling is an art and allows you to document your thoughts and feelings as a form of self-reflection. if you do not have available stationery, you can purchase some pocket friendly, beautiful journals from @mykeandcomfy and @fekoart


listen to podcasts: a morning routine without podcasts? that doesn't sound right. what other way can you open up your mind on politics, culture and social issues and platforms where people's voices can be heard (literally)? well, we have 2 podcasts that stand out for us and will definitely be one to subscribe to and add to your playlist:

we all know the twenties are quite a pivotal time in a young adult's life, especially the age of 25, when you are midway. SOUL



of course, we cannot leave here without talking about the deepest part of our selves - our souls. they hold the greatest depths and reveal the greatest truths about yourselves. here are some surefire methods to awaken your soul and cleanse your spirit.


  1. firstly, pray. that is all we can say. pray. periodt.


2. then take a walk. taking a walk helps free your spirits and also helps in your physical well-being. perfect example of killing two birds with one stone.


3. lastly, meditation. take time to reflect, search your thoughts and clear your mind. ensure you are in a quiet, serene place with no disturbance and then search yourself. after doing that, make a list of affirmations that you will repeat every day to yourself.



and finally, remember to live every day of your life with intention, not inclination.
